The Estate

Château Tour Baladoz is a family-owned estate situated in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, on the hills above Saint-Émilion. It has been owned by the De Schepper family for over 60 years; they also own the neighbouring Château La Croizille. The vineyard, situated on exceptional clay-limestone soil, is carefully tended to produce full-bodied, refined wines that remain true to the spirit of the great Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines.

The wine

Château Tour Baladoz 2021 is a classic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage, characterised by a lovely freshness, produces a finely structured wine with distinct fruit and a lovely mineral backbone. Ageing in French oak barrels refines the tannins and lends complexity and roundness to the wine as a whole.

Tasting notes

An intense ruby colour. The nose combines black fruits, liquorice and subtle toasty notes. On the palate, Château Tour Baladoz 2021 is supple and refined, with good length. The tannins are well-integrated, and the wine is harmonious overall. An appealing Grand Cru, ready to drink now.

Discover also the 2022 vintage, which is sunnier and more powerful.
