Château Tour Baladoz is an iconic estate in Saint-Émilion, nestled on a limestone hillside with great potential for wine-growing. Owned by the De Schepper family for several decades, it benefits from a meticulous, artisanal approach that combines Bordeaux traditions with technical precision. The vines, averaging 30 years of age, thrive on typical clay-limestone soils, which give the wine natural structure and freshness. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, with particular care taken at every stage.
Château Tour Baladoz 2024 is a vintage full of promise, offered here en primeur. Composed mainly of Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc, this wine captivates with its generous fruit, refined tannins and lovely minerality. Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and ageing in new oak barrels allow the full richness of this exceptional terroir to shine through. A great wine for laying down, to be reserved today.
The colour is deep and intense, a rich red with violet hues. The nose combines aromas of black cherry, blackberry and liquorice with subtle toasty notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, with velvety tannins and well-balanced structure. The long, fresh finish demonstrates the potential of this 2024 vintage, which is still maturing.
