Located in Vacqueyras, in the Vaucluse region, Ganse is a young and creative estate, driven by a free-spirited vision of wine. Situated at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains, this vineyard relies on sustainable practices and modern winemaking techniques. The winery cultivates a spirit of independence and enjoyment, with wines that reflect the personality of the terroir. “L’Imprévu(e)” embodies this approach, combining tradition and spontaneity in a bottle full of freshness and sincerity.
Ganse L’Imprévu(e) 2018 is a red Vacqueyras made from Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre grapes. The grapes are harvested mechanically at perfect ripeness. After destemming, the wine undergoes a short maceration of approximately ten days. Fermentation takes place under temperature control, with pump-overs and rackings to gently extract the aromas. Aged in concrete and stainless steel tanks, this wine expresses the Vacqueyras appellation with naturalness and generosity.
The wine displays a deep carmine red with vibrant highlights. The nose, very pure, evokes ripe cherry, morello cherry, and a touch of licorice. On the palate, Ganse L’Imprévu(e) 2018 distinguishes itself with its freshness, suppleness, and elegance. The tannins are well-integrated, the finish harmonious. It is a delightful wine to enjoy now, slightly chilled in summer with a ribeye steak, or at a more moderate temperature in winter with roast poultry.
