The Estate

Château Tayet is a family-run estate situated on the edge of the Margaux appellation. It is one of the estates owned by the De Schepper group. On these deep gravel soils, the vines enjoy ideal conditions for producing structured, elegant wines true to the Left Bank style. The Cuvée Prestige is the château’s top-of-the-range selection, produced from the estate’s finest plots and with particular care taken at every stage of vinification.

The wine

Château Tayet Cuvée Prestige is made from a classic blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. This vintage benefited from excellent sunshine and perfect grape health, resulting in an expressive, powerful and well-balanced wine. Twelve months’ ageing in French oak barrels, some of which are new, adds body and elegant woody notes without masking the fruit. A wine that is ready to drink now, but with good ageing potential.

Tasting notes

A deep colour with garnet highlights. The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, plum), sweet spices and cocoa. On the palate, the attack is full-bodied, the tannins are well-integrated and the finish is lingering. Château Tayet Cuvée Prestige embodies Bordeaux Supérieur at its finest.
