Domaine de la Noiraie, a family estate for four generations, is located in Restigné, in the heart of the Bourgueil appellation. The estate covers 30 hectares of vineyards, planted exclusively with Cabernet Franc. The clay-limestone soil and the mild Loire Valley climate allow for the gradual ripening of the grapes. The estate is certified High Environmental Value (HVE) and implements cultivation practices that respect the ecosystem, with meticulous soil management and gentle winemaking techniques.
The Domaine de la Noiraie 2018 is made from old Cabernet Franc vines grown on clay-limestone soils. This vintage benefited from excellent ripeness, resulting in a supple and concentrated wine. Traditional vinification in vats preserves the varietal character and the expression of the terroir. A few months of aging refines the structure and brings a beautiful balance. This Loire wine impresses with its precision, ripe fruit, and great drinkability.
The wine is a deep ruby red. The nose evokes jammy red fruits, sweet pepper, and a light touch of blond tobacco. On the palate, Domaine de la Noiraie 2018 develops a supple texture, rounded tannins, and a lovely fresh finish. It is a well-balanced Bourgueil, ready to drink now or cellar for another 2 to 3 years. It will perfectly complement roast pork, a terrine, or roast poultry.
