Château La Croizille is an exceptional family-run estate, situated on the hills above Saint-Émilion. Acquired by the De Schepper family in 1996, it benefits from a south-facing clay-limestone terroir and a natural amphitheatre-like setting. Since 2013, a modern gravity-fed winery has enabled highly precise winemaking, resulting in a style that is both powerful and elegant.
Château La Croizille 2020 is an intense and well-balanced Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, the result of a perfectly managed, sun-drenched vintage. The blend of Merlot (the majority) and Cabernet Sauvignon produces a wine that is full-bodied, fresh and deeply complex. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, it reveals beautiful complexity and remarkable ageing potential.
An intense, brilliant garnet colour. The nose combines black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), gentle spices and elegant woody notes. On the palate, the attack is crisp, the mid-palate dense and silky, and the finish long, fresh and harmonious. Château La Croizille 2020 expresses all the generosity of its terroir and the finesse of its vinification.
