Situated on the hills above Saint-Émilion, Château La Croizille has been owned by the De Schepper family since 1996. Nestled in a natural basin at an altitude of between 30 and 70 metres, the vineyard is set on an exceptional terroir comprising clay-limestone plateaus. A winery featuring contemporary architecture, inaugurated in 2013, reflects the estate’s commitment to combining tradition and innovation in the pursuit of great Bordeaux wines.
Château La Croizille 2015 is a powerful, structured and full-bodied red wine, made from 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon. This exceptional vintage is characterised by carefully controlled yields and meticulous winemaking, aimed at achieving the purest expression of the Saint-Émilion terroir. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, this wine has excellent ageing potential whilst being accessible to drink now.
This 2015 vintage has a deep inky colour. The nose, intense and captivating, reveals aromas of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), accompanied by notes of roasted coffee and sweet spices. On the palate, the attack is full-bodied, the tannins are silky, the structure is solid and the finish is long and fresh. Château La Croizille 2015 is a wine of character, perfectly balanced, to be enjoyed now or cellared until 2035.
