The Château La Croizille is a 5-hectare estate perched on the clay-limestone slopes of Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, in the heart of the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. Since 1996, the De Schepper family has been producing ambitious wines here, combining sustainable viticulture, precision winemaking and meticulous ageing. Each cuvée is vinified in an ultra-modern winery designed to reveal the full richness of the terroir.
Château La Croizille 2010 is a rare blend: 50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, giving it a unique profile within the appellation. This exceptional vintage in Bordeaux has produced a wine that is at once powerful, precise and well-suited to ageing. Eighteen months’ ageing in oak barrels (50 per cent new) has given it depth, structure and complexity. Now perfectly matured, this wine reveals itself in all its grandeur.
A deep colour with brick-red highlights. On the nose, notes of candied blackcurrant, cigar box, fine leather and truffle. On the palate, Château La Croizille 2010 is full-bodied and concentrated, with silky tannins, great freshness and a lingering finish. The perfect balance between power and elegance. A wine with ageing potential that is ready to drink.
