Château Tayet is an estate located in Macau, on the border between the Médoc and the Graves, within the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation. Owned by the family-run De Mour group, the estate is renowned for its characterful red wines… but also produces a light and elegant rosé. Tayet Rosé is produced with the aim of creating a wine for enjoyment, made from the youngest vines or from the first pressings, depending on the vintage. It is an accessible summer wine, designed to express fruit and freshness. It perfectly embodies the convivial spirit of modern Bordeaux rosé.
Tayet Rosé is made primarily from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, vinified at low temperatures to preserve the primary aromas. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats, without any time in oak, to ensure a clean, lively and fruity expression. The style is delicate yet rich: this rosé is characterised by its balance of crisp fruit, refreshing freshness and supple texture. It is ready to drink as soon as it is bottled and is best enjoyed young to appreciate its full vibrancy.
A bright pale pink colour. The nose reveals aromas of fresh strawberries, English sweets and redcurrants. On the palate, Tayet Rosé 2024 is crisp, smooth and beautifully lively. The attack is tangy, the texture supple, and the finish slightly lemony. It is a simple, charming wine that prioritises immediate enjoyment over complexity.
