The Estate

Château Haut Breton Larigaudière is a family-owned estate situated in Soussans, to the north of the Margaux appellation. Part of the De Mour group, the estate benefits from plots ideally situated on the gravelly hilltops typical of the region. The vineyard is tended with care, respecting the natural balance of the terroir. Vinification employs modern methods whilst preserving the authenticity of the terroir. This Grand Vin de Margaux captivates with its elegance, aromatic finesse and remarkable ageing potential, in the purest tradition of the great wines of the Médoc.

The wine

The 2017 vintage, characterised by an early spring and a sunny summer, has produced wines that are refined, balanced and precise. This magnum of Château Haut Breton Larigaudière 2017 is a classic Médoc blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot. The result is a silky wine with delicate aromas, a firm structure and a lingering finish. The 1.5L format encourages slow and harmonious development, perfect for preserving all the wine’s freshness and complexity.

Tasting notes

A brilliant ruby colour. A delicate and expressive nose, dominated by fresh red fruits (redcurrant, cherry), floral notes (violet) and an elegant hint of oak. On the palate, the balance is remarkable: the tannins are supple, the acidity well-integrated, and the structure linear. The finish is long, evoking wild strawberries and graphite. This magnum will elegantly accompany a fillet of veal, a roast venison or a platter of mild cheeses.
