Finca Sobreño is a family-run winery located in the Toro region of northwestern Spain. Founded in the 1990s, it quickly established itself as a leading producer thanks to its work with the local grape variety: Tinta de Toro, an old variant of Tempranillo. The estate focuses on vines over 30 years old, cultivated with care and respect for the terroir. Finca Sobreño produces expressive, concentrated wines that reflect the strong identity of the Toro appellation.
Finca Sobreño Reserva Toro 2014 is a red wine made entirely from Tinta de Toro grapes. The grapes come from old vines cultivated at an altitude of 600 meters. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 14 months of aging in American oak barrels, and then further aging in the bottle before release. This perfectly ripe 2014 vintage displays a beautiful richness of fruit, a velvety texture, and remarkable balance. The style combines power, elegance, and authenticity.
Deep garnet in color. The nose reveals profound aromas of blackberry, black plum, cocoa, and vanilla. On the palate, Finca Sobreno Reserva Toro 2014 impresses with its ample body, smooth tannins, and spicy finish. The oak is well-integrated and harmoniously complements the fruit. This structured wine pairs perfectly with flavorful dishes such as duck breast, grilled ribeye steak, or lamb tagine.
