Château Haut Breton Larigaudière is a family-run estate situated in Soussans, within the Margaux appellation. Since 1964, the De Schepper family has been cultivating the vines there with passion, on a terroir of deep gravel typical of the Left Bank. Rigorous work in the vineyard and meticulous winemaking techniques enable the production of refined wines that remain true to the elegant and distinguished style of the great Margaux wines.
Château Haut Breton Larigaudière 2009 is a red wine from a delicate vintage, characterised by freshness and finesse. The blend, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and complemented by Merlot and Petit Verdot, produces a well-balanced Margaux with supple tannins and lovely structure. Ageing in oak barrels, some of which are new, lends the wine structure, subtle oaky aromas and depth without overpowering it.
A brilliant garnet colour. The nose reveals floral aromas (violet), blackcurrant, sweet pepper and noble oak. On the palate, the wine is elegant and finely structured, with balanced acidity and good length. Château Haut Breton Larigaudière 2009 is a classic Margaux in the best sense of the word: subtle, straightforward, and best enjoyed with refined dishes.
