Domaine Jacques Rouzé is located in Quincy, in the heart of the Loire Valley. This family estate, passed down through generations, cultivates a clay-siliceous terroir perfectly suited to Sauvignon Blanc. Committed to sustainable viticulture, the estate places great importance on respecting biodiversity and the quality of the grapes. Thanks to this expertise, Jacques Rouzé crafts precise, elegant white wines that always reflect the expression of the Quincy terroir.
The Grandes Vignes de Villalin 2022 cuvée comes from a rigorous selection of well-exposed plots. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and then vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve the purity of the fruit. The result? A precise, straightforward, and crystalline 100% Sauvignon Blanc that captivates with its tension and frankness. It brilliantly illustrates the identity of the Quincy appellation, still too little known to the general public.
With its brilliant pale yellow hue, this wine offers aromas of citrus, candied lemon, and white flowers. On the palate, Quincy Grandes Vignes de Villalin 2022 displays a crisp freshness, supported by a lovely vivacity. The attack is direct, the finish mineral. It pairs perfectly with oysters, sea bream ceviche, or Crottin de Chavignol cheese.
