The Domaine LePlan-Vermeersch, located in Suze-la-Rousse in the Rhône Valley, is the ambitious project of Dirk Vermeersch, a former Belgian racing driver turned winemaker. From 1999, he crafted modern, accessible and characterful wines on sunny terroirs with clay-limestone soils. Its philosophy: produce clean, delicious vintages with unbeatable value for money. The estate favors precise winemaking methods and respectful aging of the fruit. LePlan has created a sharing vintage, faithful to the generous spirit of the southern Rhône.
Le Plan Vermeersch 2019 is a red wine from the Côtes du Rhône appellation, made from Grenache and Syrah grapes. Harvested at full maturity, the grapes are vinified in concrete and stainless steel tanks, with gentle extraction to preserve the fruity aromas. This 2019 vintage is distinguished by its roundness, its lubricity, and a lovely freshness. The wine accurately expresses the identity of the Southern Rhône, with notes of red fruit, sweet spices, and a supple mouthfeel.
Visually, it displays an intense red color with purple highlights. The nose opens with aromas of black cherry, mild pepper, and garrigue. On the palate, Le Plan Vermeersch 2019 offers a supple texture, smooth tannins, and a refreshing finish. It pairs beautifully with grilled meats, stews like Provençal daube, or vegetarian dishes such as zucchini gratin or mushroom risotto.
