The Estate

Château Haut Breton Larigaudière is a family-owned estate situated in Soussans, at the heart of the Margaux appellation. Acquired in 1964 by the De Schepper family, it is set amongst deep gravel soils that are ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. Meticulous vineyard management, combined with expert ageing, results in elegant, expressive wines that remain true to the distinguished style of Margaux.

The wine

Since the exceptional 2000 vintage, and every year that allows, Château Haut Breton Larigaudière has produced a special cuvée. It is called "Le Créateur," a translation of the Flemish family name of the owners, "De Schepper." Le Créateur was produced in 2000, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2015. The grape variety consists exclusively of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting notes

This wine has an inky black color and an explosive nose where concentrated fruit mingles with aromas of vanilla and toast. What the nose suggests, the palate confirms: the wine is rich and fleshy, full of dark fruit with exceptional elegance and length. The tannins are firm and beautifully structured.
