Nascosta is a small, exclusive Tuscan winery perched in the hills of Castiglione d’Orcia, in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The estate cultivates its vines at an altitude of over 400 meters, on clay-marl soils particularly well-suited to aromatic grape varieties. Through meticulous viticulture and precise winemaking, Nascosta creates elegant, rare, and expressive wines that break with classic Tuscan standards. The Moscaminer is a perfect example.
Made from equal parts Moscato and Traminer, the 2020 Moscaminer Tuscany is a meticulously crafted dry white wine. Hand-harvested at peak ripeness, the grapes capture the full aromatic intensity of the varietals. Fermentation at low temperatures, without malolactic fermentation, preserves all the wine's freshness and floral nuances. The result: a delicate, distinctive wine with a strong personality that sets it apart from traditional Tuscan whites.
The pale yellow robe with golden highlights heralds a luminous wine. The nose opens with notes of rose, lychee, passion fruit, and sweet spices. On the palate, the 2020 Moscaminer Tuscany seduces with its smooth texture, fresh finish, and subtle balance between sweetness and vibrancy. It pairs wonderfully with lightly spiced Asian dishes, blue cheeses, or an exotic fruit dessert.
