The Estate

Château Tayet Prestige has had two production sites since 2018: 30 hectares are situated on limestone hillsides opposite Saint-Emilion and Castillon-la-Bataille, whilst 3 hectares are located in the commune of Macau in the Médoc, adjacent to the Margaux appellation. At both sites, on the right bank and the left bank, the vineyard borders a prestigious appellation, and the same rigorous standards are applied to produce a Bordeaux Supérieur with a strong personality.

The wine

The very best Bordeaux has to offer. Since 1994, Jean-Michel Garcion has been producing a Cuvée Prestige at Château Tayet that stands out from the average Bordeaux Supérieur in terms of its complexity and fullness on the palate, showcasing the terroir to its best advantage. By using new oak barrels for ageing and increasing the proportion of Petit Verdot year on year, the wine has gained in complexity and character, offering unbeatable value for money.

Tasting notes

With a beautiful deep ruby colour, Château Tayet has a clean, pleasant nose of red fruits. On the palate, it is a wine of great concentration and good length.
