Domaine du Monteillet

Antoine and Stéphane Montez craft this red wine in Chavanay, at the northern limit of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône. This cuvée takes its name from “Fortis fortuna fortior”: luck strengthens bravery. This was the motto of the estate’s owner in the 17th century, a Marshal of France under Louis XIV.

Tasting note

This wine features a brilliant straw-yellow color and a fruity bouquet of apricot and pear, with a hint of sweet spices (vanilla, cinnamon). This lovely fruity texture is reflected in the well-structured palate.
