The Estate

Château La Croizille stands out as an iconic vineyard on the Saint-Émilion plateau. Owned by the De Mour group, it embodies the perfect blend of traditional expertise and technical innovation. Its spectacular gravity-flow winery and commitment to sustainable viticulture make it a showcase estate for the new generation of Classified Growths. Nestled on exceptional clay-limestone soils, La Croizille benefits from ideal sun exposure and meticulous winemaking, with aging in new oak barrels that strive for excellence vintage after vintage.

The wine

The 2023 vintage confirms Château La Croizille's ability to produce ambitious and balanced wines, even in contrasting climatic conditions. This magnum, predominantly Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, impresses with its concentration, aromatic vibrancy, and elegant structure. The 1.5L format allows for a slower and more harmonious evolution of the wine, offering an optimal long-term tasting experience. Already approachable in its youth, this cuvée also promises excellent aging potential until 2038 or beyond.

Tasting notes

A deep, rich robe with purple highlights. The nose exudes notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, graphite, cedar, and violet. On the palate, the attack is supple, then builds in power with fine tannins and a beautiful minerality. The whole is balanced, with a long and precise finish marked by freshness. This magnum will be ideal with grilled red meats, a truffled veal fillet, or gourmet dishes with reduced sauces.
