The Estate

La Croix de Saint Clément belongs to the De Mour group, a family-owned winery established in the Bordeaux region since 1938. Based in Soussans, in the heart of the Médoc, this company draws on a long history of expertise and recognized know-how in crafting authentic and accessible wines. By bringing together several properties, the De Mour group offers a diverse range that showcases the richness of Bordeaux's terroirs, while respecting local winemaking traditions.

The wine

Made from 10- to 20-year-old vines planted in sandy-gravelly and clay-limestone soils, La Croix de Saint Clément 2024 is a carefully crafted dry white Bordeaux. The balanced blend of Sauvignon Blanc (50%) and Sémillon (50%) gives this wine both freshness and roundness. After fermentation at controlled temperatures, the wine is aged for five months in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees, which adds complexity and volume to the palate.

Tasting notes

This 2024 vintage presents a pale straw color with green highlights. The nose is captivating with its fresh and delicate aromatic expression. On the palate, the attack is lively, followed by a lovely roundness supported by the finesse of aging on the lees. The long, mouthwatering finish invites indulgence and pairs beautifully with simple yet elegant dishes such as seafood, grilled fish, or fresh cheeses. This dry white wine can be enjoyed now and will age gracefully for 3 to 4 years.
