Château Tour Baladoz, owned by the De Mour group, is located in the hills above Saint-Laurent-des-Combes, within the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. Its vineyard benefits from an exceptional terroir, a blend of limestone and clay, and an ideal sun exposure. The "Le Centenaire" cuvée pays tribute to the estate's 100th anniversary with meticulous parcel selection and high-quality winemaking, reflecting the ambition to produce an exceptional wine that is both powerful and refined, built for aging.
Château Tour Baladoz Le Centenaire 2009 is made primarily from Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. This warm and perfectly ripe vintage allowed for gentle vinification, followed by extended aging in French oak barrels. The wine combines density, structure, and elegance, while expressing the typicity of the Saint-Émilion limestone plateau. This 2009 vintage has now reached superb maturity.
The wine is a deep garnet color. The nose is captivating with a beautiful intensity of aromas: candied black fruits, cocoa, blond tobacco, fine leather, and sweet spices. On the palate, Le Centenaire 2009 unfolds with a silky texture, melted tannins, and great aromatic complexity. The finish is persistent, mineral, and fresh, typical of Saint-Émilion. A wine with great aging potential that expresses the nobility of a perfectly crafted, sun-drenched vintage.
