Château Tour Baladoz is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé located in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes. This family-run estate, owned by the De Schepper family, benefits from a gently sloping clay-limestone terroir. Situated close to prestigious estates, it stands out for its style, which strikes a balance between Bordeaux tradition and innovation. The Grand Cru Classé classification recognises the consistency and elegance of the wines produced over several decades.
Château Tour Baladoz 2023 is a powerful and refined Grand Cru Classé, produced from a blend typical of the Right Bank: Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2023 vintage, warm and sunny, has produced a concentrated yet balanced wine, vinified with finesse. Ageing in French oak barrels for 16 to 18 months lends the wine a lovely aromatic complexity and excellent ageing potential.
A deep garnet colour. The nose opens with expressive aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, liquorice and dark chocolate. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and well-structured, with velvety tannins and a long, fruity and mineral finish. Château Tour Baladoz 2022 is an appealing Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, best enjoyed young after decanting or left to age for greater complexity.
