Château La Croizille is a family-owned estate situated on the highest slopes of Saint-Émilion, between Tertre Roteboeuf and Troplong Mondot. Acquired by the De Schepper family, it is one of the appellation’s most modern estates, boasting an exceptional winery built in 2013. This intimate, single-block vineyard is tended with exceptional rigour, combining high-precision winemaking with respect for the clay-limestone terroir.
Château La Croizille 2000 is a remarkable wine with excellent ageing potential, from an exceptional vintage in Bordeaux. This blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon has undergone a long ageing process in French oak barrels, revealing noble tertiary aromas and a perfectly integrated tannic structure. Now fully mature, this wine is ready to reveal its full complexity, in a refined, intense and perfectly balanced style.
A deep garnet colour with brick-red highlights. An expressive nose of jammy black fruit, leather, cedar and sweet spices. On the palate, Château La Croizille 2000 stands out for its silky texture, well-integrated tannins and a long finish with notes of truffle and blond tobacco. A mature Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, for lovers of mature fine wines.
