Domaine du Monteillet

Le Fortior. The origins of the estate date back to the 16th century, and the Montez family have been growing vines here since 1741. Stéphane Montez took over from his father Antoine in 1999, and is the ninth generation of winegrowers. He now runs a 40-hectare vineyard in organic conversion on the Fortior in Saint Joseph established on the heights of Chavanay at an altitude of 320 m. A sure bet in the northern valley.

Tasting note

This wine has an intense purple colour and a powerful bouquet of fruit and spices. It is rich and well-structured, but at the same time very fine and well-balanced, with well-rounded tannins.
