Les Terrasses de La Croizille is the second wine of Château La Croizille, a family-owned estate located in the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation. The estate benefits from an exceptional terroir, situated in a natural amphitheater on clay-limestone slopes, between 30 and 70 meters above sea level. The property combines tradition and modernity thanks to a gravity-flow winery and meticulous winemaking.
Les Terrasses de La Croizille 2023 is crafted from a selection of parcels within the estate, predominantly Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine expresses a beautiful fruity intensity, a supple structure, and perfect balance. Partially aged in oak barrels, it offers a lovely expression of the terroir without excessive oak influence. It is a pleasant, approachable Saint-Émilion that is representative of its origin.
Brilliant ruby robe. The nose offers fresh notes of crisp red fruits (cherry, raspberry) complemented by a floral and slightly oaky touch. On the palate, the attack is supple, the fruit dominates, the tannins are fine, and the finish is refreshing.
