The wine comes from the historic wine-growing region of Tokaj, in northeastern Hungary. This emblematic appellation is recognized for its sweet white wines produced from grapes affected by noble rot (botrytis cinerea). This ancestral method, combined with the unique volcanic soils and the particular microclimate of Tokaj, gives the wines unparalleled aromatic complexity. Tokaj Aszú is often referred to as the “king of wines and wine of kings”.
This wine is the result of a precise blend of fresh must with carefully selected botrytized grapes. The "5 puttonyos" designation indicates a high concentration of sugars and aromas. With its 13% alcohol content and silky texture, this wine develops an exceptional balance between richness and freshness. This 2013 vintage promises excellent aging potential, lasting up to 15 years.
The wine is golden, clear, and brilliant. The nose reveals an expressive bouquet of candied fruits such as apricot, enhanced by notes of honey, quince, and exotic fruits. On the palate, the attack is soft and velvety, perfectly balanced by a refreshing acidity. The long, lingering finish leaves a sweet and elegant impression.
