Domaine Jean-Luc MOUILLARD
Jean-Luc Mouillard, a winegrower since 1991, farms 11 hectares of vines at Mantry, in the Revermont region, with his wife and son. They produce wines in three Jura appellations. The estate has been expanded over the years, with the purchase of a house in 1997, the construction of a winery in 2005 and a storage building in 2013. In 2016, they added a new vineyard to their estate. The frosts of April 2017 and May 2019 had an impact on their production.
Tasting note
Le Curieux, produced by Jean-Luc Mouillard, is a Savagnin that is not matured under veil but in barrel. This wine offers a different experience: retaining the characteristic minerality of savagnin, it is also full-bodied on the palate. Its barrel ageing gives it additional nuances, adding complexity to its profile. It’s a pleasant, well-balanced wine that may appeal to those looking for something different in the world of Jura wines.
