Le Centenaire
Le Centenaire 2009 is a magnificent story that has its origins in a 0.33 hectare parcel of vines at the heart of the Château Tour Baladoz. vineyard. The originality of this cuvée is directly linked to this plot. It is the result of the marvellous alchemy of six grape varieties planted over a hundred years ago on an exceptional terroir. It is also the fruit of the work of five generations of winegrowers who have cultivated it, and of the men who have crafted a remarkable cru in keeping with tradition. This unique cuvée was marketed in limited numbers in the exceptional vintages of 2009 and 2010.
Tasting note
This wine is almost inky black in colour, with an exceptionally complex nose of fruit, wood and spice. On the palate, this wine is a taste bomb of exceptional concentration. The tannins are supple, and the Merlot gives it power and roundness, but freshness is also present. Its perfect balance and aromatic persistence point to great ageing potential.
