A resolutely modern wine
In 2022, Château La Croizille joined the prestigious classification of Saint-Emilion Grands Crus Classés. The neighboring property, Château Tour Baladoz, belongs to the De Schepper family, who have achieved the feat of having two of their properties included in this classification in the same year. To mark this event, our wine has been given a brand new label. A new design with a more assertive identity.
The color orange has always been the hallmark of the Château’s identity. Beyond its architecture, we also find this color in many of the natural elements all around us. Whether it’s the vines that glow orange in autumn, the clay soil with its ochre sheen, or the spectacular sunsets we regularly witness at the Château.
Property
Renovated in 2012, the cellar of the château stands out from its neighbors with its contemporary architecture and distinctive orange color. Acquired by the De Schepper family in 1996, the vineyards of Château La Croizille benefit from a remarkable location in the heart of the legendary Saint-Émilion wine region.
The single-block vineyard, situated on the limestone plateau slopes of Saint-Émilion, is nestled in a kind of amphitheater between 30 and 70 meters above sea level. It is adjacent to the vineyard of Château Tour Baladoz in Saint-Laurent des Combes, between Tertre Roteboeuf and Troplong Mondot.
Wine
Château La Croizille combines expertise and passion in every step to create a great wine. The terroir, enhanced by a contemporary approach, gives rise to a wine of striking nobility.
